The Director presented the statistical reports for

Harrison County Mississippi Library District in the Adopt-a-Library program.
This district includes the cities of Biloxi and Gulfport, who were so badly
hit during hurricane Katrina. We will be holding some materials from our
year-end weeding project for possible transport to this area. Copies of the
department annual reports were distributed for review. It was reported that
the State Legislature has set up a funding task force. This group will be
evaluating possible restructuring of local government funding, which
includes library funding.
Mrs. Hoover, Art Committee Chair, reported that
opening in the Little Art Gallery on January 15 and continuing through
February 12 the show Traveling Needles will be on exhibit. This display of

that we will not contract for this service at the present time, but will
reevaluate the library’s need in another year.
