Storm Thief
by Chris Wooding

I believe that Chris Wooding has overstepped the bounds of creativity with this one. In this world of Harry Potter and Eragon's, there seems to be a lot of novels that don’t seem that great anymore; their over popularity is saturating very good literature, and is making authors forget the imaginative child inside themselves that they once had. Now they just chuck out sequels. Not Wooding.

If you are a fan of fantasy, and within a great plot, and imaginative worlds where the suspense keeps you glued to the page with the multi-colored, languished cast of characters that will forever be painted within your memory in time, this book was one of many that really kept me hoping that somewhere out there, there is someone who still understands what good young adult fiction is really about.

The best thing about this book is the plot and its characters. Its cast into a place despairing, and the young main character, named Rail. Predictability storms rage his world, causing him to wear a respirator; and an only task: protect the only one he cares for, a little girl named Moa. Yet there are a lot more horrors in this place that he lives in, and though all he wants is to survive, sometimes you just have to fight that hand that fate has dealt you, even if that means doing it over and over again.

I highly recommend this book. Go and check it out now.
