WINTER 2011-2012 Art Classes
Classes begin
the week of January 16th and will end the week of March 5th.
There will be no class on Presidents Day - Monday, February 20th.
The Make-up day will be on Monday, March 12th.
All of the following classes will be HELD
Children's Art Classes
will meet 1 day a week for 8 weeks.
WC -
1.
Preschool
“Just Paint” –
Thursday 1:30 p.m. to 2:30
p.m., Instructor: Pam Neff
Students will experiment with all the different types of paint we have,
tempera, acrylic, watercolor and more.
We will even make our own paint in class one day!

2.
K-2nd
“Exploring the Arts” –
Tuesday 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.,
Instructor: Pam Neff
This Mixed Media class provides students experience working with a
variety of materials and processes. Students will also learn about some famous
artists to be used for inspiration.

“Mixed Media” –
Wednesday 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.,
Instructor: Marjorie Lutes
Mixed Media classes provide experience working with a variety of
materials and processes including painting, drawing, collage and 3-D materials.

3rd - 5th
“The Art of Nature” –
Thursday 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.,
Instructor: Marjorie Lutes
Animals, Insects, Seasons and more….nature will be or subject matter for
realistic projects. Projects will include drawing, painting, and assemblages.

“Painting and Collage” –
Thursday 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Instructor: Marjorie Lutes
Be inspired by some of the fine artists who helped write the history of art.. We will look to the methods and materials those artists used as a backdrop for our projects.
Adult Art
Classes -
will meet 1 day a week for 8 weeks.
Supply lists for adult classes are available online and at the library’s
information center.

“Watercolor with Rudy” –
Monday 3:30 p.m. to 5:30
p.m., Instructor: Rudy
Amatangelo
Rudy’s presentation, demonstration and critique method of group instruction benefits both beginning and advanced painters. Fundamental design, composition and drawing techniques will be applied to landscape subjects. This class makes use of digital equipment, including Power Point projected reference, printer/copier and cameras as tools too
