I am lucky enough to read to the 1st and 2nd grade classrooms at the North Canton elementary schools and at St. Paul's. I really enjoy being able to take the books into the schools and share them with eager listeners.
My 3rd and 4th grade Detective Club meets at the library during the fall and aspiring authors also in 3rd and 4th grade participate in the Writers' Workshop during the early spring months.
Within the library I hold parties for children ranging in grades from Kindergarten to 6th grade. The Fairy Party, the Haunted Halloween Party and the Un-Birthday Party are a few of my favorites.
Another program I enjoy is my Movie Mania! for 1st-6th graders where I get to play great movies such as High School Musical and Sky High.
Being surrounded by wonderful books is the best part of my job. It is hard to pick a few favorites, but here are some that I just LOVE!
